Getting away from the bustle and into your hustle
I’ve been so excited about getting away from work, that I forgot about how much I loved the city and exactly why I moved out here. It’s important to be around your network in order to greatly influence those who are direct contributors to your success and on the flip, it’s important to be around others who are more grounded in their work.
No vacation for an entrepreneur?
Even though I won’t be going into Red Hat Tower and working on my clients in North Carolina, I still will be working around the clock, as much as I try to “take in the ocean air.” I guess that fact is that a person with a mission will not settle until that mission is satisfied, which for entrepreneurs and songwriters with a massive vision, will never happen. I’m okay, with always being at work in my mind, because that is the way to get to the top. But working smarter and not harder has to be key
Spread your wings and fly
Coming to the conclusion that I can’t hold down my nose from a textbook for more than a few hours, or that I can’t manage to not write a song a day, I’ve learned how to harness my power and not let it get the best of me. A good way to do that on vacation for an entrepreneur would be to meditate. Meditate even if you aren’t on vacation. Take some hours away from what you are doing and focus on your core reason to why you are doing what you are doing. When you get ahold of the reason to why you are doing what you are doing, regardless if it is writing up annual reports or creating an album, it will cause butterflies to flutter in your heart and give you purpose that you didn’t know that was there…or just forgot about. When you understand why you are doing what you are doing, you can start to love whatever it is that brings you joy. When you love what you do, nothing seems like work anymore and success is inevitable!
